This talk will be presented at 1:30 PM on May 23rd. Healthcare organizations face seismic changes in their statutory, economic, and competitive landscapes as events such as weather catastrophes, healthcare reform and global financial crises disrupt workflows such as the revenue cycle. How does finance cope with the disruption and resulting information overload to ensure it meets all regulatory requirements while maintaining workforce agility? This presentation shows how to create and deploy a business operations playbook – which we call an Authoritative Guide – that is actionable, accessible and current. It enables staff to operate effectively and with agility, at the speed with which any issue must be addressed. We will show how to protect revenue and business functions of a healthcare organization in both steady-state operations and when faced with disruptive events that result from healthcare reform, new compliance guidelines, emergencies, and staff attrition.
