Leadership Gary Dickelman, President and CEO Since the 1980s, Gary Dickelman has been a thought leader in performance centered solutions, technologies and methods. Following the origins of “Electronic Performance Support Systems” in 1987, Mr. Dickelman synthesized best practices in Business Process Re-engineering, Knowledge Management and Human Factors Engineering to create a cohesive, proven methodology now referred to as Performance Centered Design (PCD™). Further, Mr. Dickelman designed and supported analysis techniques for human-computer interactions, applying them to large, enterprise projects. Most recently, the methods and technologies of PCD™ are used in Business Transformation and Mission Assurance initiatives. Mr. Dickelman has written over 25 articles, is a contributing author to several books, served as author/editor of EPSS Revisited (2003, (ISPI) and presents at international conferences annually. He serves as an adjunct faculty member to the graduate schools at George Mason University and Boise State University, where his unique PCD™ methods are integral to graduate curricula in Educational Technology and Performance Engineering. Mr. Dickelman earned an M.A. at Indiana University, continued graduate work in Computer Systems at the University of Central Florida and served as an officer in the US Navy's Nuclear Power program, delivering nuclear engineering training. Shirah Cohen, VP Business Development Since joining EPSScentral in early 2005, Ms. Cohen has directed the growth of EPSScentral from a one-man consultancy to an organization providing PCD™ solutions across government and corporate clients. Her primary focus has been on developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with clients and complimentary organizations. Ms. Cohen's 16 plus years of experience in business development, client management, program planning, and communications enables her to develop rapport and credibility with partners and prospects. Prior to joining EPSScentral, Ms. Cohen held leadership roles in sales, consulting, and management at organizations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Thomson NETg and VISTA IT University. Ms. Cohen has an outstanding track record of strategizing, selling, and delivering high quality, enterprise-scale solutions. Ms. Cohen holds a B.A. in Psychology from Case Western University, and a M.P.A., from Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. Sonia Arias, Sr. Director, Performance Services & Technologies Sonia Arias, EPSScentral's Sr. Director for Performance Services and Technologies, is responsible for directing the lifecycle management of state-of-the-art design projects. Currently, Ms. Arias is leading EPSScentral's largest ERP project and delivering a state of the art electronic performance support system for users of twelve Oracle E-Business Suite modules. Ms Arias has extensive national and international experience in leading business transformation initiatives for information communication technologies. Prior to joining EPSScentral, Ms. Arias directed a $13+ million portfolio of US government-funded international instructional technology projects. Ms. Arias holds an M.A. in International Development from American University, and an M. Ed. from George Mason University's Instructional Design and Technology Program, where she was a protégé of Gary Dickelman. She has over 15 years of experience in the areas in performance-centered systems design, learning/performance analysis, on-line delivery systems, professional development web portals, and evaluation plans. Laurenne McAteer, Sr. Director, Content Design and Development Laurenne McAteer is EPSScentral's performance support / instructional design specialist. She has led performance-centered solutions for large ERP initiatives as well as mentored and trained other EPSScentral consultants on PCD™ methodology and technologies. She is responsible for the recent successful rollout of Tyco's new Siebel CRM system, where EPSScentral's solution reduced four weeks of conventional training to a one-week performance-based solution. Ms. McAteer has over 20 years of experience in the areas of performance support, instructional design, technical documentation and web content development. She has led performance-centered design initiatives for such organizations as: Bank of America, Barclay's Bank, Chemical Bank, Citibank, Home Insurance, Mutual of America, and NCCI Holdings. Ms. McAteer has a B.F.A. from the University of Florida and a Certificate in Information Management from NYU School of Continuing Education. Larry Schwartz, Sr. Performance Technologist As EPSScentral's Senior Performance Technologist, Larry Schwartz advises and applies his in-depth understanding of performance-centered technologies to EPSScentral's PCD™ solutions. Mr. Schwartz has extensive experience using full lifecycle methodologies in the areas of performance-centered design, project management, applications development, large-scale maintenance changes, process development/improvement, and re-engineering techniques. Mr. Schwartz is currently leading a large business transformation effort for a new ERP initiative. Mr. Schwartz has over 20 years of experience leading private and government technology initiatives. Mr. Schwartz has a B.A. in Mathematics with an emphasis in Computer Science from Rowan University. |
